Sharyn Diamond is a children’s author who writes to help families share stories and keep meaningful traditions alive. She grew up in Rochester, New York, graduated from Brighton High School and Alfred State College, and now lives in Plano, Texas, with her husband and family.
Before writing, Sharyn worked in administrative and sales roles and spent years volunteering with organizations close to her heart, including Rochester Community Players, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, her synagogue Adat Chaverim, Boy & Girl Scouts of America, and Passing Hats, a nonprofit that makes hats for people facing cancer.
An avid traveler, Sharyn loves exploring the world with her husband of 32 years. After raising four children and retiring, she turned to writing poetry and picture books, among them “Amy’s Amazing Hats” and “Who Is Your Bubbe, and Where Can She Be?”
She’s also a proud Bubbe to six grandchildren, who inspired the book’s keepsake extras: an “Ask Your Bubbe” questionnaire, a family tree, and Bubbe’s Potato Latkes recipe, simple, joyful ways for kids to capture family memories and pass them along for generations.
